Art Bust Podcast featured in New York Post, Daily Mail, The Sunday Times and more
Toronto, Canada – October 27, 2021 – In 2018, a photo posted by Kim Kardashian on her Instagram helped solve an investigation involving an ancient gold coffin that was looted and smuggled from Egypt.
This is exactly what became the basis of episode 4 of Antica’s latest investigative podcast series with USG Audio, Art Bust: Scandalous Stories of the Art World.
“In a recent episode of journalist Ben Lewis’ podcast, “Art Bust: Scandalous Stories of the Art World,” he dives into how the photo played a role in catching the thieves who stole the coffin of Nedjemankh and sold it to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for $4 million by using fake documents,” writes Samantha Ibrahim for New York Post.
Jessica Green for the Daily Mail writes, “Manhattan assistant district attorney Matthew Bogdanos was emailed the viral photo of Kim by an informant in the Middle East who had received it from a member of a gang of looters – annoyed that he hadn’t been paid for digging the coffin out of the ground during the Egyptian revolution in 2011. For Bogdanos, Kim’s viral photo was the key to unlocking a long-running case that he had begun investigating in 2013 targeting international antiquities dealers.”
Art Bust has been featured in publications all over the world. Some of them include:
The Sunday Times, New York Post, The Daily Mail, ArtNet, AirMail, The Irish Sun, Paper Magazine, DAZED, Egyptian Streets, NYLON etc.
