Antica Podcasts Win Big at the Inaugural International Women's Podcast Awards in UK
Toronto, Canada – September 26, 2021 – The inaugural International Women’s Podcast Awards announced its slate of winners today and two of Antica Productions’ latest shows took away the winning prize.
Seven Truths, produced by Tanya Talaga, Jolene Banning, and Debbie Pacheco, is the 2021 winner of the Moment of Behind-the-Scenes Brilliance category. “Seven Truths is deeply original, telling an important story that is rarely heard. It is beautifully created, highly evocative and really interesting. A brilliant listen,” said judging team. Seven Truths explores the Seven Grandfather Teachings – Love, Bravery, Humility, Wisdom, Honesty, Respect, and Truth through the eyes of Anishnaabe storyteller, Tanya Talaga as she shares her experiences with listeners. Through contemporary storytelling, these truths help us all find common ground here on Turtle Island, so we can live together, harmoniously and justly. This podcast was part of Audible’s inaugural ‘Canadian Originals’ slate.

Do You Know Mordechai?, produced by Kathleen Goldhar and Michelle Shephard, is the 2021 winner of the Moment of Cliff-Hanger Drama category. The judges called the six-part series “binge worthy and intriguing and captivating from the opening moment.” In this true crime podcast, host Kathleen Goldhar tells the story of her friend Arya’s relationship with the perfect man. After a tough divorce, everything was falling into place for Arya, Mordechai was everything: quirky, fun, and attentive. But one night a knock on Arya’s door revealed a woman who asked, “Do you know Mordechai?” The podcast is now available on all streaming platforms.
